Welcome to the Enfield Food Shelf
From its humble beginning, hundreds of volunteers have contributed to the Enfield Food Shelf, Inc.'s effort to provide food to the families in need. The Enfield Food Shelf is a nonprofit volunteer organization affiliated with the Enfield Conference of Christian Churches and dedicated to" assuring that no Enfield resident goes hungry because of a lack of resources." The Food Shelf’s priority is to serve Enfield families and individuals needing food.

SPECIAL EVENTS
"An Evening with Tom Chapin" was a delightful evening of Grammy Award-winning music to increase awareness about the need for food assistance and to obtain funds for us to continue our mission. The lyrics of Mr. Chapin's "Hunger and Thirst" eloquently expressed the objectives of this special evening: "Hunger and thirst, two things I hate / Everyone living needs food on their plate / Some things can hurt; these hurt the worst / Nothing hurts harder than hunger and thirst."
Thank you Tom, Jon, and Michael

SUSAN FROST

During our Easter shopping days, Susan contributed to festive atmosphere helping our families as "Susanbunny." Susan is a dedicated and valued volunteer. Of her experiences at the Food Shelf, Susan states, "I love volunteering at the food bank. I find it really gratifying being there when deliveries and donations come in and to help get the food and products ready to be given to those in need and then distributing them. It has been a very uplifting experience, and I always feel that I am gaining more than I give." |
